How to pick the perfect sweater?!
4 January, 2016

Winter sweaters?!I pick the best.

It’s sweater season, pretty girls, it’s time to successfully pull off your closet winter-ready apparel ,without looking like  your grandfather!

When we choose a sweater it is smart to analyze the different materials in terms of warmth, comfort, and care.

Cotton is lighter  than cashmere or wool.  It’s less expensive and easier to care for.

Synthetic materials, like acrylic. You can find it usually at a good price and it’s easier to take care of than wool or cachemire.Zara ,Mango and TopShop sell many models made of a mixture of materials including acrylic.

Wool is the warmest sweater material .But it should never be put in the dryer. You’ll find many options and excellent quality in Burberry.

Cashmere is another popular  but expensive material. It’s warm, light, and extremely soft, but the price may represent a problem.Exclusive models and nice colors are available at Brunello Cucinelli but if you are on a reduced budget I advice you to go to Benetton.

Baby Cashmere, incomparable softness the one of Loro Piana. Derived from the mountainous regions of Mongolia and Northern China, warm , light and extremely scarce. The downy fibers can be collected only once – combed out harmlessly before the Hircus kid goat is twelve months old. Already renowned as the largest producer of cashmere in the western world, Loro Piana is now also the world’s largest producer of Baby Cashmere yarns and fabrics.

Talking about colors, while there’s nothing wrong with vibrant colors,  I personally prefer a great navy , grey or beige sweater in the wintertime: it will give you a pretty look, chic and sophisticated, ready for any occasions.

 Grandma’s sweater?

Well, we can leave it for a cold Sunday afternoon while we are eating popcorn on the sofà!

I hope you enjoy reading this post!

Take care and see you soon!
